Closure Work
In the event that a bubble is forced to close, the following arrangements will come in effect.
1. Children will be sent home with a 'home learning' exercise book - this should be kept ready in the event that a bubble is forced to close.
2. Upon the closure of a bubble, home learning will be uploaded to the appropriate class webpages. This will focus on English and Maths only and will be linked to work completed in class. Teachers will provide worked examples of the skills that children are learning through voice overs and short videos where appropriate.
3. Class email addresses will be re-activated so that work can be submitted and feedback given. Staff will check emails daily during the closure period.
Resources that you can use at home to support learning
Due to the Coronavirus, lots of educational companies has let schools and parents have free access to their materials. They are trying to ensure that teachers and students stay connected and children continue their learning at home with minimum disruption.
Please have a look at some of the resources below.
Clicker
Many children do not currently have access to educational software at home, and this will be particularly vital for learners who benefit from additional reading and writing support when at school.
Therefore, Crick Software would like to offer any school that is affected by coronavirus closures free access for every pupil and teacher on their home devices. Choose either:
Clicker for primary schools – works on iPad, Chromebook, Windows & Mac.
DocsPlus for secondary schools – works on Chromebook, Windows & Mac.
How will our software help your learners at home?
