This week you will be asked to plan chapter 3 of your autobiography. Go home, look through photos and seek out inspiration for your next chapter!
Autobiographies!
In Big Write this term the children will continue to write their own autobiography. This is an exciting and challenging project. Any help and support you can give your child in helping them find out about themselves and their life so far would be greatly appreciated. Please have a look at the Talk Homework attached and the "Top Tips" document. Thank you.
Big Write 6th March 2015
We watched a short film called Dream Giver. We used thesauri to collect ambitious language to describe the setting. We also wrote examples of figurative language to recreate the mysterious atmosphere within the film. As a class, we wrote the following composition.
The Autumn term was enjoyable and fun with the topic of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Year 6 wrote persuasive adverts about a chocolate bar, desciptions of sweets and found out about Roald Dahl's life. We thoroughly enjoyed preparing for Trowbridge Carnival with our gigantic puppets!
