In Computing, we develop children's understanding of information technology, computer science and digital literacy, and their role in a global world.
Our approach
What we cover
Children take part in a range of activities covering IT (using technology), computer science (understanding coding and programming), and digital literacy (how to behave safely and responsibly online).
Plugged and unplugged learning
Some activities are "unplugged," meaning they don't require any technology at all, while others make use of technology, including iPads and the school's Chromebooks.
Our scheme
We use the Purple Mash scheme of work to support our delivery of the computing curriculum.
Online safety culture
As a whole school, we celebrate Safer Internet Day every year.
