Who can join
Nestlings welcomes children from age 2 onwards. Whether your child is just starting out in early years care or moving from another setting, we'd love to hear from you.
How to apply
Getting started is straightforward:
- Get in touch – contact us by phone on 01225 782388 or by email at nestlings@staverton.wilts.sch.uk to start the conversation and ask any initial questions
- Come and visit – we'll invite you in to see Nestlings for yourself, meet our team, and get a feel for how we do things
- Meet with staff – a chance to talk through your child's needs, routines, and anything that will help us prepare for their first day
Start dates
We operate rolling admissions – your child can join us in the term after they turn 2, rather than waiting for a fixed intake date.
As children grow, they move between our two rooms at set points across the year: from Ducklings into Cygnets in September, January, or April.
Joining our waiting list
If a place isn't immediately available, we're happy to add your child to our waiting list – just get in touch and we'll take your details.
Funding your child's place
You may be eligible for government-funded childcare hours (15 or 30 hours per week, depending on your circumstances).

What happens next
Once we've met and everything's confirmed, we'll be in touch to arrange settling-in sessions – giving your child the chance to get comfortable with our team and environment before their organized start date.
Applying for your place
To register your interest in a place at Nestlings, please contact us by email or phone. Once your child's place is confirmed, we'll provide you with an admission form to complete.
